Over at the redoubtable Fr. Zuhlsdorf's place, there is a great thread going on the ideal dinner party.
I urge you to go there and participate.
Here at the Chronicles, I would propose a variation on the theme, to wit:
A list of 8 living people, experts or public voices on a particular field or area of human life, who, brought together for a weekend house party, would be expressly forbidden to talk about their common subject.
E.G.
Bill Keller (NYT)
Giuliano Ferrara (Il Foglio)
Sylvie Kauffmann (Le Monde)
Berthold Kohler (Frankfurter Allgemeine zeitung)
James Harding (ToL)
Zhang Yannong (People's Daily)
Valery Ignatenko (Itar-Tass)
Sam Adesua (Nigerian Tribune)
would gather for a weekend in each other's company, during which they would not be allowed to discuss politics. Anything and everything else under the Sun, but no politics.
Any takers?

Love the work you are doing here LD. It made me think about starting a blog myself. I'm thinking of what could I talk about in that blog, because i dont want it to be booring or useless. Keep up the good work and take care.
PS: about the dinner party. I would like to hear what Obama will say other than politics and stuff that he does. :)
Let us know when you get going, Angelo jr.
Why don't you pull together 7 other people to put in the house with Obama for the weekend?
I'll post it up top when you do.
Best,
LD
Hmm , next to Obama I'd like to see probably Bill Gates ,Dalai Lama, The Pope Benedict , Arnold Schwarzenegger ( dont ask ) , Queen Elizabeth II , Bon Jovi and my favourite actor Denzel Washington.
I'm not sure if i fit in the criteria of the "game" but those would be the people i would like to see at a party.
